Hey, I’m Pat Amsbry

I’m PAT AMSBRY. My wife calls me a community-minded business owner and entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience in the media industry and entertainment industries (mostly she just says “hey you’). My professional passion is currently serving as the Owner, President & CEO of Flying A Media, a media-buying agency located in Pasadena, CA. (where I live with my wife Kate - our two sons are away in college, both in Massachusetts, studying at different schools).

Kate and I founded Friends of Madison Elementary, a nonprofit dedicated to equity, access, and opportunity in public education. We are very proud of the true friendship we have built with the 500+ Madison students and their families and the positive impact we have made over the past 4 years - this is a huge passion for us. In addition, I serve on several nonprofit boards and am an active member of different nonprofit organizations around the Pasadena area. I also volunteer with the Pasadena Police Department.

When not volunteering, or working, I have the great honor to serve as the trustee to my 97-year-old, WWII veteran Grandfather. He still lives in the same house my Grandmother built in 1950 on land owned by my family since before the turn of the century. My Grandfather lives down in Orange so we are able to see him at least weekly. Kate and I are blessed to share this stage of life with him - visiting him is my favorite part of the week.

My other interests are adventure sports of all kinds including snow skiing, sailing, scuba diving, and open water swimming. I have completed over 40 triathlons including an Ironman, climbed Mt. Whitney, and have logged quite a bit of backpacking with my oldest son on his journey to earn his Boy Scouts of America Eagle Scout Badge. I am currently learning to paraglide in pursuit of a P2 paragliding certification.
